It is funny I found this thread this am. I was thinking of names last night. My jeep is in for paint right now. It is getting a candy apple red mix that looks a little more like deep burgandy, with all metal cloak front to rear in Raptor bedliner. At first I was thinking Ron Burgandy but I think it will end up being ruby. Here is a pic of how it sits now.

I haven't given her a dedicated name, but I find myself calling out " come on baby" a lot.

My wife named my YJ " AMBER " ......... She wanted to give her a stripper name since she is a little white trashy and she loves to run around topless !

MIA

Cause the bugger is in the body shop..

Feel like an expectant father in the waiting room. This is worse than waiting on it to arrive at the dealers a week ago.. Bugger it all.

Funny because my wifes name IS Amber...and it's a running joke that any "Amber" in a movie is always the stripper or the trouble maker. I know how to pick em

I call it "Cherry Bomb" because well, it is bright red, and for whatever goofy reason the guy that owned it before me air brushed little bombs on the side by the Jeep logo.

My Jeep's name . . .

At first I was going to name it Eugene but my kids couldn't figure out why (LOL)

I setteled on "Sarge".

Besides being a retired Master Sergeant, I plan on puting 1941 military markings on it.

(The second pic. is photoshopped) (lol)

I was with my Father-In-Law one day and we met this guy who introduced us to his two young daughters (8 & 10yo) as "Destiny" and "Tiffany", so we walk away and my F-I-L turns to me and says,

"Do you think that guy realizes he gave his cute little girls STRIPPER names?????"

I say......Hmmmmmm not sure (Clearly uncomfortable)

"Well, i guess strippers have to come from somewhere"

I just replied "God Bless America"

Boris....

It just looks like a "Boris" to me, plus The Who had a song called "Boris the Spider", and it kinda looks like a spider squatting in the driveway.

"Ghulam Basha", which means "Lordly Slave".

This is in reference to the Mamluk Empire. If you don't know them, it was the only time when you *had* to be a slave in order to become ruler. Their children were usually prohibited from ruling. To decide each new Sultan, the strongest (politically) would take the role if it was clear, otherwise they would fight it out. These slave-rulers were from different racial backgrounds, mostly Turkic and Caucasian, they had their own kind of Arabic, were based in Cairo, and dealt the Mongols a major defeat. In later years they became corrupt and lazy, and were destroyed by the Ottoman Empire, but the early years are remembered well (by people here).

When I bought mine, my cousin's son was two.
He couldn't say Jeep but he could, and repeatedly did say "Geep!"

So, since purchase back in November 2007... it's been "The Geep!"
