Mine is mounted inside, behind the back seat, across the roll cage with a couple of muffler clamps, and wing nuts. Total cost was about $6 at Advance Auto and Lowe's; protected inside, and the soft top will fold around it...
I am much more blessed than I deserve.

You can see mine mounted on the roll bar. I have to tell the kids to watch their head when they climb in the back though.

A couple of 2" EMT clips and some 2" angle iron, and it doesn't rattle at all.

Mounted in the same place as Rogue's... Get a handle keeper for it and your rattles are solved!
