Which Winch??

Have an '05 wrangler unlimited and I am about to purchase a winch? I don't want to pay over $1,500. I have a warn front and back bumper and on the front bumper I already have the mounts to mount one. What kind of winch and brand should I get?

I have the Warn 9.5ti, which I like. I haven't really used it that much and is probably more winch than I need. Here is a link to some reviews:Winch Reviews - JeepReviews.com. There is also a thread on here called Winch Reviews.

Best of the best? Warn 9.5cti with synthetic rope can be had for less than $1300 to your door. Even comes with a free hat.

I would have to say the Warn 9.5ti. Only because I've owned it for 6 yrs now. It was on my 06 LJ and now it's on my JKU. And I have gotten a lot of use out of it.

I would buy a warn winch. I would go over and hang out in pirarte 4x4 classifieds and pick up a used one. Be a lot cheaper than a new one but just as good. If the motor ever goes out, simple take out and replace. They are considered the best and really last.

Synthetic line is a lot safer and not to mention will lighten the front end up a good bit.
