I just don't like any hummer GM ever made. They are nothing like a real hummer (H1) and shouldn't carry the name. Other than that I don't find them bad looking if you get rid of all the chrome, but they still have none of the capabilities of a real hummer.

That being said, my buddies wife pulled up to the bbq in her new H2 the other day. Actually decent looking in yellow, but I couldn't resist messing with him a little. "i like your new suburban, it's pretty."

I would get an H1 though if i could afford it, more maintenance than modern jeeps but not near as bad as you think. I used to work on military helo's, H-53, now that is a maintenance PITA. Something like 14 maintenance hour's per flight hour. Plus another hour to fill up the fuel tanks.

Took a 10 man crew like 3 hours to do a wash job for maintenance and lubing up all the moving parts, and greasing the fittings and such afterward. That had to be done every 14 days regardless if it even moved from it's parking spot.

The maintenance on an H1 is nothing compared to aircraft. It has relatively few moving parts by comparison. There is no mountain an H1 can't cross though, just hook it up to an external load sling on an H-53 and fly it on across. Except maybe Mt. Everest, that's kind of pushing it.

I didn't know the top and doors came off of H3's or station wagons.

Besides, the topic is about Hummer hate...

Well your opinion is wrong. Unless your opinion is JKs are minivans, warn warn warn, china sucks, older=better, johnny joints/currie is gods gift to man, above 5 inches is the devil, wheels must be 15x8(preferably black soft 8s), FJ's suck brcause FJ, and if you dare go a different route than Jerry or Imped you are totally wrong. :halo:

I have owned from a CJ to now my second JKU and the only thing that shocks me is the comfort AND offroading ability of my Minivan/Station wagon/convertible Cherokee/H2.5.

Here is the deal we HATE Hummers because most of them are stuck up non offroading ROB's that believe they have gods gift to the car industry.
