I have always wanted a Jeep but I could never afford one. After 7 years without a car payment, I traded in my 2005 Explorer for a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Sport.
I don't regret my decision one bit.

exactly, insurance is a lot cheaper on these jeeps than I would have thought. insurance in an 01 wrangler is about $240 compared to the $375 on my 04 super crew f150 fx4

I've always had a Jeep since I was 17. When I sell one, I feel kind of lost until I find the next one.

I picked up my 'Lil Red Wagon to make my clients not have to walk so far to some of the streams I fish. It fits down the very over grown 2 track trails and I can get it turned around in a very tight spot. Then after I got my Jeep I got a new gal and she loves to go for long rides in the outback. A little food, a little beer and fishing poles and she is happy, as I am too.

A good friend of mine owns an auto repair shop on 2nd ave in Boca. He is currently wheeling a 93 Bronco I sold him.
We keep talking about modding a Jeep and is simply tells me that he will wait until the FAU kids decide to sell one for a massive loss and just buy a pre-modded one.

I bought mine because, after selling my 97 Z28 Convetible and driving my 73 Beetle back and forth to work, my wife finally convinced me to buy something new and reliable.
My street floods so, another convertible was not an option.
or was it.......

Two choices.
1: HMMWV 2 door. (impossible to find
2: Jeep Wrangler

I have always wanted one. I had a big jacked up f-150.
I had a few must haves in a new vehicle.
1. better milage than the 10mpg I was getting.
2. 4x4
3. must seat 4
4. no ford explorer
5. A jeep just fit me and my lifestyle.

The kids love it. They get mad when my wife has to pick them up from school in the mini van.

I got mine because I have always liked Wranglers, but having 3 kids, couldn't fit everyone. Now, it is tight, but we can all go to the beach!!

My wife grew up with her Dad always having a CJ, so when I threw it out there as we discussed replacing my old passat it got a surprisingly warm response! Got it in June and love it!

I wanted something that was great in winter, and a blast in summer. A new JK was the only option and has not let me down. Love taking it off road on job sites too.

I needed 4x4 to get up the canyon roads in the winter and the jeep was the most affordable and came with a 6 cylinder engine (was not ever going to buy a 4 banger again). Drove one and absolutely fell in love with it - have never looked back. I have over 3200 miles on my jeep and it is only 6 weeks old now - bought it brand new with zero miles.

I didn't care about gas mileage. Heck I drove a 5.0L HO Capri for 14 years and was only getting 12 mpg at the most. My last vehicle - Saturn SC2 (destroyed by a big buck) I was only getting 15 mpg.

I don't see me owning any other type of vehicle other than a Jeep from here on out. It is really hard to buy them in December and then have to wait for months to take the tops off and go nakey.

I'm driving to South America next year (hopefully) and want to pull a small trailer.. so I got the unlimited. I can work on it MYSELF if I have to, parts are relatively easy to get, I can throw my kayak on the top and my dog in the front and I can go anywhere. ANYWHERE...

Thanks Tdog. The 'Lil Red Wagon has taken me to a many great streams that I would have had to walka mile or so to get to before.
I will say this, with just the soft Bestop it sure does get chilly in the tub when it is -24 outside and going down the highway at 55mph. I just put on the Carhart bibs, good warm boots, hat, gloves and enjoy the ride. I have never taken the top off but with all of the windows open even crawling along at 5 mph in the brush it stays cool inside.Which leads to this when the gal is along for a ride....

I sold my truck and bought a car. A few days later we loaded up the car and headed to the beach... something just didn't feel right. While we were sitting there we were watching all the wranglers going by when my wife said "Maybe we should get a Jeep". I heard "Get a Jeep" and took it as an assignment! A week later I found an 04 TJ with 24,000 miles on it that looked like new at a good price. Bought it on the spot.

It has no automation, gets terrible gas mileage, rides like a tank, is noisy and has a terrible sound system... but dang is it FUN!

Crossing off a vehicle from a bucklet list.

Though I might actually keep this one, I really like it. The best thing I did was to order one exactly to spec.

Why did I buy my Jeep?

Because my last one got rear-ended and was totaled....
