willys decals, i need ideas, hayyelp!
k, so i got an '06 boobicon in armygreen.
i've got *some* not all the decals i need from decalstore.com, was only $30, came with all the stars i need but no lettering.
i can get all the lettering i need from a local shop for another $25.
note: as for WWII jeeps there is tons of inconsistency, so there is nothing that is a "must do" to make it have that look, however, i've seen a number of jeeps that ....jmho... overdid it and make some inconsistencies, and i don't want to do that, i want to keep it minimal but very clear it's got a WWII theme going on.
frankly the way Jeep did it on the 2004-2005 Willys editions was really nicely done imo. clearly an homage to WWII jeeps without going overboard and looking tacky.
What i originally hoped to do was get a bunch of military-stencil-look letters done up in magnetic vinyl, because i was going to change what it said at-will anytime i felt like it. i was gonna do some silly stuff with it but not be permanent.
Unfortunately, the small-ness of the hood letters means it's not enough magnet-to-metal contact to remain on the jeep with the wind when driving. so although a gigantic door panel magnet stays put, some small letters on the hood won't.
that means i gotta decide on some permanent letters to go on my hood.
i don't want to exactly copy the Willys editions.
they had: 41MB-04TJ
1941 Model B , 2004 TJ
but i can't decide what i do want on there.
some of my sillier thoughts were:
^-- the pun there is that it's a rubicon, but in text-speak that actually says "are you bisexual". , i'm not but i'm up for humor anytime.
okay no i'm not doing rubi but it made me laugh anyway
it's a 2006 rubi fwiw. lemme know if any ideas! thanks!
