Winch question

So I asked for the quadratec q9000 for Christmas and I got a badlands 12000 pound winch. I've never heard of this brand. Anyone have this winch? Is it reliable?

It's a Harbor Freight winch... take that for what it's worth. FTR, I'm not a Warn bandwagoneer. Nor am I opposed to them either. I'm neutral.

I've read where a couple guys have had good results with the HF winches, but for my money I would go for the Qtech. I wonder if you could return it and use the money towards what you want.

I have that same winch on the front of my Jeep, It works well for what I need it for. It has pulled out a few people. the only down sides are that it is slow to pull and that the wire is a little long for it, so it doesn't like going all the way into the drum unless you have it lined up just right.
