define PROBLEMS, anything is possible with enough money, but dimensionally it should fit.

Nothing alot of money and a cutting torch and welder cannot handle.
Other than that... It should be easy.

Honestly if your YJ has a 4 cylinder then i believe the 5.7 motor mounts are in the exact same location. So fitment wouldn't be a problem. I think your problems would come from the wiring differences between the two vehicles.

I am currently running a 4 cylinder in mine, and I just bought a LT1 to go in it.
Like mentioned above, you need to make sure the wiring harness and the computer will all work together, It will not work with you NP231, I think you would have to change imput shafts or get an adaptor to make it work.
Personally, if you have as much money to spend on it as you mentioned, I would get a cheaper motor, and then buy an atlas for a couple of grand.
I already have the atlas, but I am gonna have to change the shafts to it will bolt up to the new trannie.

And trust me.. You will want to get some stronger motor mounts, my 4 cylinder and the atlas breaks them like crazy..

Oh yeah, I was just mentioning that they were in the same locations. Atlas's are notorious for breaking things like that.

what is an atlas? and i plan on getting new motor mounts for re-locating threir not expensive?I'm not sure but i would think that the wire harnesses wouldn't be the same but anyways how would I or could I go about making sure that what i choose is all going to be compatible with each other ?including wire harnesses?I currently have a 93 4.0. like i said above i have (3) np-231's would i be better off buying an adapter kit?????????

That is highly up for debate.
