Wrangler labeled one of the top cars to avoid by Forbes.

LOL check this out....
Wranglers rejects conventional behavior it seems.

Jeep Wrangler

"This brash SUV can trace its lineage to the original Jeeps from WWII, and it remains among the most off-road capable models on the market. While the Wrangler has received steady improvements over the years to help make it more civilized, even adding four-door Unlimited models to help broaden its appeal, it remains inferior to virtually all other vehicles in terms of sophistication, accommodations and on-road performance. According to Consumer Reports, “the ride rocks and jiggles constantly, and handling is very clumsy…wind noise becomes very loud at highway speeds…getting in and out is an awkward act…the interior is uncomfortable.” What’s more, the Wrangler performed “marginally” in side- and rear-crash performance in IIHS testing and received poor ratings for initial quality and reliability from J.D. Power."

I know huh and Ferrari got a low rating beacuse you can only fit TWO average sized grocery bags in the boot. Note to self, don't go shopping in my Ferrari.

Those people are stupid. They have no business rating a Jeep.

Didn't it also just rank as the best 4 by 4 of the year? It also retains its resale value better than most other vehicles.

Jeep Wrangler

I just bought a 2012 and saw this and they are right. It beats the crap out of you on the pavement and its not a great daily driver. But offroad nothing beats going 40 mph down a desert dirt road in a Jeep. It's got good and bad things about it but since I'm on dirt roads three or four times a month it's worth it.

It's only awkward getting in and out if you are over 7 feet tall and a 10" lift I'm short, 5'4", female, and can get in easier than most people I know.

I enjoy the way my tj handles even though it bounces and sways and rattles, even on long trips I prefer it to a roomy quiet car. I feel more comfortable driving in traffic especially in unfamiliar places because of how easy it is to handle and manuver, being so short and narrow and high up. But, they are right about it being a car to avoid if what you care about are accomodations and on road performance and basically feeling disconnected from the road. If it were rated for fun, or utility, or just plain coolness it would be on top.

Just tell 'em to grab their "top rated" vehicles and follow us!!
They may be able to; but they won't be very pretty at the end of the day!!
Probably won't be so quiet on the road any more, and may be more difficult to get in and out of!! And their top might leak, also; along with other parts!!

Jeeps aren't built for sophistication. That's why the wine and cheese crowd avoids them. They're built for off road capability.

If you rely on Forbes to rate your vehicle you're part of the 1% to begin with and have no business being in a Jeep.

I agree. I have a relative that is the Forbes type. To him, a $80K Range Rover is the way to go.
