Wrangler Windshield Hypothesis

A new Wrangler windshield cracks with a well-placed sneeze.

However, once mine cracked, I've had rocks hit so hard and so loud I nearly number two myself and no new cracks appear.

Therefore, what if it's a tension thing--could Jeep manufacture an OEM windshield that already has a slight "give" to it? I'm wondering if a reinforced crack was built somewhere in the center (maybe around the rear-view) if it would help absorb standard road debris??

Anyone else had this phenomenon?

When I had my 98 TJ, I had the windshield replaced 2 times, within 3 months of each other.
