You know you drive a Jeep when most people see a rock and say "Oh look! A really big rock!" But when you see a rock you say "You know, if I disconnect my sway bars and lock my rear axle..."

When you always keep a bottle of shampoo in your jeep, in case it rains.

When you take the doors off and your friends hang out in it even when you are not there. Then they send pictures of them in it.

When you see your friends in your jeep from a distance so you set the alarm off and scare the crap out of them.

YKYDAJW your wife has to remind you to lock the doors on the minivan for the three thousandth time because you never lock the doors on your own vehicle.

Out here in Orange County CA, home of keyless entry, everyone looks at me funny when I physically put a key into the door to open my 2013 JKU Sport. I constantly have to remind my daughters to lock the doors when they get out. Daddy doesn't have a magic key ring like mommies Pacifica. I got it specifically because it doesn't have power windows or door locks, regular AM/FM CD player, the most high tech thing in the cab is the AC. But today the bikini top comes in the mail, then tomorrow go down to the motorcycle shop to get a side mirror to put in the hinge and the doors can come off for the rest of June. The weather in southern CA is sunny and 70-75 for at least 3 weeks.

When your first date involves going off road through a cow pasture, just to get a good view of the sunset/moon rise.

You know you are NEW to driving a jeep when you try so hard to keep the car clean in and out to try and keep that new car smell and new car feel... But then you man up and remember why you bought a jeep and not a fancy foreign ride.

Your left side is much more tan than your right side...

You have topless specific playlists...

You have to take both jeeps to social gatherings otherwise everyone would ask "where's the other jeep?!"

You know you are new to driving a Jeep when you refer to it as a "car". A car a Jeep is not. That's one thing that will also come as you gain more Jeep experience. Hah Hah, enjoy your JEEP!

This happens to me nearly every day. I'm in a program to get my Airframe & Powerplant license and its heavily regulated by the FAA. We are required to take a 10 minute break every hour, and most of those breaks involve my classmates playing with my jeep.

Ten minute break EVERY hour? Wow, yep it's definitely a gov regulated thing. My workplace takes ONE ten minute break and one 45 minute lunch break per 8-9 hours.

Guilty as charged....I even went to the extent of modifying my picture to be a reversed image so that my Jeep meets at the center of my dual monitors, basically a left and right view.....

I believe it is a safety measure to help instructors keep a good handle on what is going on around the aircraft and in the shop. Pretty annoying though, because breaks usually come when you are in the middle of something!

You run topless with the heat on because it's finally sunny but it's only 40°.
