You know you drive a Jeep when the grass is always greener...

"I need those" "It seems like mine is always the MOST broke!"

... You check the weather for the percentage of chance of rain every morning and every night before bed.

... You always have a hair scarf/headband hanging from your mirror.

... You keep a towel and sweatshirt in the back.

... You know where every dirt trail off the main road takes you and where it comes out at.

same here.. and they have come in handy many times. Getting caught in a torrential downpour the towels helped protect the dash and wipe off the inside of the windshield to see. And even a trip that starts out at 85 degrees and sunny can end up at 60 degrees if you're out late enough, and the heater can only do so much when you're doorless and topless :P

You put it in first and inch forward at a red light just to make sure it's gonna engage before it turns green.

So, I'm doing 70 in the sun with the top off music blaring on the way to Austin. Women are smiling and waving, then comes the rain. So, I'm driving 70, top off in the pouring rain, music blaring, eating a rice crispy treat grinning like a fool and people look at me like I'm stupid or some thing. I don't get it, I had a great drive!!

AGREE!!! But i was in the car line picking up my granddaughter from school, torrential downpour for 15 minutes, 4 inches of rain in the floorboard, 7 year old runs out of school and jumps in the jeep laughing and screeching and yells
"YEAAAAAAAAAA NANA ITS RAINING LETS GO RIDE"!!!!!!!!!!
it was awesome!!!

You know you drive a Jeep

when you have to pull over on the highway to tighten up the safari top because it loosened up and flapping like crazy and you think it adds a fun factor to owning a Jeep.

when your stuck in traffic and do not get irritated like the other drivers around you because you enjoy being in your Jeep.

You check the weather on 3 separate sites and apps each day to make sure its not gonna rain.

When you enjoy going to the gas station. Maybe its me lol

When you just don't care what other people think... because this is the personality of a Jeeper

... when you stop in the middle of the woods after a steep rocky climb just for a quick photo op.

... when after she did so well on that climb (totally washed out old unmaintained road with lots of loose boulders, almost got stuck twice) that as a reward you promise to get her bigger tires and new taller springs!

A speedo gear WILL NOT under any circumstance improve your mpgs!! WOW!! It will enable you to accurately calculate mpgs, but absolutely won't improve performance!

Having the vehicle computer correctly know the speed might help your performance if you have an automatic, as the shift points would be different for various size tires.

When you have been in Afghanistan for 6 months and you look at pictures of your Jeep more than you look at pictures of your family.

When reading posts on this forum makes you more homesick than talking to your family on the phone.

When you look at the mountains in Afghanistan and the crazy, homemade roads and wish you could bring your Jeep with you.

I am almost done, less than a month to go. Where are you? I'm in Kabul.

Wow. I just left there. Flew over there to do some work for a day, then came back to Kabul. I wish this country wasn't so crazy right now. This would be an offroader's paradise.

What I meant to say is that your odometer will now read correctly and you WILL get more MILES per tank full which equates to better MPG! After calibration the EVIC went from 13 to 17 mpg.
Mine could not hold 65 mph in 6th gear to save it's life even with the gas pedal to the floor. After electronic recal I can actually accelerate.
So for me it did improve performance!!!
