That use to be my story too until I bought a beater car. A 95 Chevy Corsica w/ lots of hail damage .. 24mpg.. driving to school and work everyday left me filling up the jeep every 3-4 days

The jeep is purely extra curricular, but the wife has been driving the crap out of it because I'm out of town.

DD. Then find a few trails or the occasional mudhole on the way home. Wheel it about 1x month if I'm lucky. That's gonna change a little now that I've got some decent lift and tires.

Daily driver and weekend beach cruiser for the most part. The Pensacola area has grown so much in the last 20 years, that there's not much to do offroad anymore. I've managed to find a few trails around here, but all of the places I used to take the CJ I had in the mid-80's are now people's back yards.

Daily Driver, wouldn't have it any other way.

Driving around with the top off makes me enjoy life more. I can have a bad day but it all goes away when I jump in my baby.

I first bought my rig to wheel and for my wife to drive some during the week for fun. However, after I went wheeling the first time I was hooked and then came the mods..............

I can drive it on the road now but it's not really road friendly because of some of the mods and I don't feel comfortable letting my wife and the kids drive it.

dont let lack of lift or tires keep you on the pavement. mine only has a 2"BL and 31" bfg at's (for now) and i wheel the fool out of it. then again, i used to wheel my 99 2WD suburban xlt on stock tires and no lift.

Yeah but you can't really tackle anything substantial. That was tame stuff. :/ Serious play calls for serious toys. Not saying you can't do any off-roading stock because there are plenty of people who have proved you can. I'm just saying if you want to be a rock crawler, etc...you ain't going to do it stock.

My Jeep is my daily driver/weekend warrior. I VERY recently purchased a 05 Titan with factory tow package for out of state wheelin trips and use when Jeep is down from damage or upgrades. I have driven the truck to work once! I love my jeep too much, I feel like just another vehicle on the road driving anything else.

I have wanted a toy for a long time...I finally caved and bought it a few months ago.

I have been driving a 1 ton Chevy Silverado Duramax crew-cab dually as my DD. I now alternate between the Jeep and the truck. Any time I don't need to haul something, or pull a trailer, or if I am going to work at the station, the Jeep it usually what i jump into.

It's so nice to finally be able to park anywhere I want...That's not an option with a land yacht.

Sorry dood, that is just sacreligious

I, too, alternate DD between my '03 TJ (all jacked up) and my '07 MegaCab (stock). Sad part is that my TJ gets better milage than my truck. (I usually drive based on price of gas vs. diesel. Right now gas is much cheaper than diesel...)

My Wrangler was my daily driver for 5 years. It has been my toy for the last 3. Getting the Commander has taken me away from it more.
