Question App related questions

1. Is there a way to save "last viewed post" in a thread so that the next time I open the app, I can easily resume reading the thread in the same spot I left off? ("Jump to first unread post" simply sends me to the most recent post that I have not read which is unhelpful when I last stopped reading page 25 of a 200+ page thread)

2. When I use the app on my android tablet I frequently get "Contacting Remote Site" and the spinning circle, for minutes on end. This typically happens after I search, and even while I can navigate in the site using the tablet's browser, so it's not the tablet, or my internet connection. Has this happened to anyone else and how did you remedy?

Thank you

Hey Bleh,

1 . Clicking go to first unread post should take you to the first new post of the thread. The app will usually refresh when you start it up.

2. Could you post a screenshot of this?

Thanks

Thanks for the reply dm. I understand how the function works, but I don't want to find the first new post of the thread, I would like to be able to "bookmark" wherever I was reading in the thread to pick up at that same spot when I next log in to the app.

Sometime when I get a moment I will post a quick vid of the "contacting remote site" and will also show you an issue I have with the forum search while using Google Chrome browser on my tablet. Thanks again for following up with me.

I too would like to be able to "bookmark" or "tag" the post I was reading. For example, if I was 9 pages in on "95 yj SOA step by step", the next time I clicked on it it would be nice if it jumped to the last post or at least page I was on.

I am subscribed to "cheap, easy, fun, Creative Mods" thread. When I open this thread from the app on my phone, by going "more" > "subscribed", it takes me to the latest post. Not the post from 2012 where I was last reading and I would like to continue reading from.
