Authorization Requests

I realize that this was brought up before but the original thread was hijacked. Where ever this is coming from, it will not allow you to copy it so I made photos of the messages.

Attachment 100459

Attachment 100460

Any ideas?

I would make sure everything is up to date, i.e. firewall, browser etc. What browser are you using?

Did you try typing in your WF username/password? I doubt that would work, but its worth a shot...

Looks like an issue with an ad space. Like the image that the company is hosting is protected for some reason.

I purchased this computer new about 1 month ago. It uses IE (latest version) I run Webroot Esserntials/Secure anywhere. I've used Webroot on my last 3 computers and never had an issue.

My name and password are stored and I am logged on when these messages pop up. No way would I give it the info requested if I don't know where it comes from.

The second photo is from the ad space banner. The first is a window that pops up everytime that I hit the back key to exit a thread. You can't just close it, you have to click the cancel icon to get rid of it.

Is that ad space banner present after you hit the back button?

Not always. The think that I am trying to discover with this thread is if this is actually something created by WF. If you can read the text in the first pic, it says "The Server www*wranglerforum*com at Forum Admin" requires this info.

But shouldn't this problem happen to everyone if that was the case?

If they got that ad by chance. Not sure, I've alerted the admins.
