Getting more involved

Hi.

I have been contributing to this forum for a while now (since I brought home my jeep) and I have loved the experience. I am a website owner myself and am very into community. I was wondering if there was a way that I could become more involved in the community here. I am definitely not the most knowledgeable of the jeepers here but I definitely love hanging around and constantly checking my Droid to see if my subscriptions have any new threads.

What are the requirements to gain a title other than just Jeeper? Are there any responsibilities that I could help out with here on WF?

Thanks guys. I hope I can be of some help!

Staff is currently stocked nicely at the moment bud.

To be able to change your user title you must be a supporting member of the board. (link in my sig to paid subscriptions).

Also, just contributing to the forum with helpful information or repair how to's are great help to members. Being a helpful member with polite post is welcomed the most. Even the little things are a huge help to some users. We get many new members everyday. Most are new jeepers eager for any little information they can soak up. Simple information as even a oil change or how to use 4wd.

We do thank you for any help you or any other member provides on the forum. That is what makes this forum a great place to be.

Exactly, going along with what Tim said, you don't need to be the best mechanic around here to contribute. There are other ways to step up, such as 'reporting' posts (red triangles), welcoming new members, and adding your own input. There are also opportunities that come up where we do ask members for help, and that is a perfect time to assist us as well.

Thanks for volunteering

I also remembered another important point. When members post (usually newer members) and there is another thread or sticky with the same topic. Instead of saying "There is already a thread about this" or something of the sort, give them the link for it. Going above and beyond to help out others. That's what we are about

Good idea. Sometimes tough to do from the smart phone but I can definitely work that from the pc. I am on it.

Funny this spam was put in this thread just after we spoke about clean up and reporting.
