How to edit a post?

I posted a write up, have a typo I have to fix in it, do not see an "edit" option.

HALP!?

You have the option to edit only for a period of time on this forum, I believe. The button is at the bottom of the post next to the quote button.

You can request an edit from a mod, but be very specific. We like you best if you make it so we can just copy and paste. Otherwise you have about 15 minutes to edit/delete posts.

In this case, I don't think either would do me much good.
