How to not "subscribe" when posting

Every time I post in a thread I automatically subscribe to it and then receive an email every time someone replies to the thread.
This is very annoying as I have my email on my iphone and don't want to know every single time someone has posted in the same thread.
I can't figure out how to turn this off.

Adding to what barrie said, on your iPhone when you click the button in the upper right corner. Hit unsubscribe or subscribe without email notification
Do I look like a cat to you boy? Am I jumpin' around all nimbly bimbly from tree to tree? Am I drinking milk from a saucer? DO YOU SEE ME EATING MICE?

An easier way is this: When you hit Reply, scroll down to the Additional options box, and there is a drop down menu titled Notification Type. The default setting is daily email notification. You can choose Do not subscribe in that menu.

You can also go to the Quick Links tab on the menu bar on the top of every page, and click Subscribed Threads. Then if you want to delete a subscription, you can click the box next to the thread name, then go to the bottom of the list where it says Selected Threads: and click the drop-down menu and choose the option you want.

Hope that helps!
Drive it like you rented it, not like you stole it. Cus if you stole it, you'd be driving 5 mph below the speed limit and using your turn signals.

Reviving an old thread. Is there a way for Admin to set it up so that the default is to NOT subscribe to every thread we reply to? Or an option to set our default that way?

EDIT: Nevermind. Apparently, I suck at following directions. I figured it out!
