Just a suggestion: Wheel/Tire setup and fitment sticky

I've noticed, since joining, that there are several threads on wheel/tire setup that ask for help to ensure something fits. They include lifts/wheels/tires and its hard to go through all of them. Also, I don't want to post something that already has been talked about but its hard to go through tons of threads to try and find the perfect setup.

I am part of another forum that concentrates on the BMW e30's and think they've done something that this forum could utilize. They have a sticky thread called "Post all wheel/tire fitment and setup questions here".

I think that a sticky for each generation could help clean up some of these threads for easier searching. I know there is a thread that is dedicated to tire fitment but only concentrates on stock wheels.

If I'm missing this thread please let me know. This could allow all new users to go through the thread and search for their specific setup

For example: I'd post...
RK 3.5" lift
20x10" wheel with 5.5 lug pattern and 4.25 backspacing
325/60/20 tire

Does this setup fit correctly? Will I need to be needing any spacers ect?

if one person has a question its probably within expectations to think somebody else has previously asked that same question. The MAIN problem is most individuals do NOT search for the info they just ask the question again. Because they don't want to read through a bunch of threads, even though they may learn some additional information if they did!
And it is impossible to address every possible tire/wheel combination. Even if we did have Every possible wheel/tire combo...people don't search they just ask.
And here at WF we don't tell people to "do a Search" ...we answer the question. I understand what you're trying to accomplish but it's the nature of the beast... As you stated we have "largest on Stock" sticky but people still ask that exact question over an over...

I understand and they do have about 500 pages in the thread so I guess many wouldn't search through it anyways. I've searched and haven't found the specific setup I'm looking at so I'll post to ensure my setup works. Thanks for the quick response. I thought I'd at least suggest it. Thanks again.

Use google

For example "Jeep jk 35x15x20 on 20" rockstar wheels" Add wrangler forum for links here. You may have to word it differently. Chances are it's been posted before,

Also, don't be afraid to post -asking a question in a thread. Especially a thread in the sticky area. I posted a lifting for newby's thread. If you're unsure what will or won't fit with a certain lift ... Ask away.

Good luck

Thanks. Yep, tried google a ton. I also posted in an existing thread trying to save another thread being posted. I'll look into the new ya lift thread...for some reason I was thinking it wasn't the place for my post.

Cool...thanks again!
