Unable to edit posts?

After making posts, I'm unable to edit them. I did some research in the FAQ section and it says I should see an "Edit" button, which I don't. Can you help here?

Interesting, I just noticed that I can edit in some Forums, and can't in others. For example, I see the edit button in this forum, but not in the "For Sale" forum. Is this specific to the "For Sale" section?

After each post you should see the edit button on the bottom right of the last post you made within that sub-forum. Once you post another you lose the option to edit (I think) of all previous posts.

The option to edit a post is time limited. Once that time has expired, the edit button will be gone.

If you need to make changes after that time you can hit the report post link (triangle w/exclamation point) and tell us what you want changed. If it is a fairly major edit that you want to make you can request that a moderator or administrator open the post back up for editing.
An example of this would be if you have multiple items listed in a for sale thread and need to mark items from the initial post as sold or change pricing. Another example would be for planned outings that you need to keep track of attendees,

Only moderators and administrators can change titles. Either use the report post option as I mentioned above (fastest) or send a member of the staff a PM. We will change it for you.

How would one initiate a request to open up editing of one's own posts without requiring the assistance of a moderator?

To get edit rights, report the post by clicking on the triangle with the red outline under your avatar.

in addition we don't have or will be have unlimited editing.. as we hold people accountable for what they write.
