Why is this website so darn slow lately?

Every other website I visit the pages load super fast. This website is taking 15+ seconds to load a page or reload a page when I hit the "back" button.

Is it just me?

I'm using IE 10 but have tried firefox and chrome browsers as well. Same problem.

I am having the same problem but just joined so I figured is was just how it is, frustrating, sometimes doesn't load at all, may be my connection or the new laptop computer but don't have the same trouble on other websites.

If its slow you should test your Internet connection. So far mine is fine even on my iPad with wifi.

I use this link to test my connection.

I have ATT Uverse with download speed of 18mbps. I ran a speed test and it shows 17.87mbps. Every other website I go to works perfectly with no delays.

And like Shoe said above I have seen the "long running script" message a few times.

I am wondering if it is all the ads on the page, I believe I chose the option to not run all the ads when I registered, but still a lot of running ads

I saw an add over their, it said " one Christian wants to bang you". I thought it was a funny screen capture that someone posted, but it wasn't! It was an add/ link to Christianmingle.com!

I was floored, I wish I had saved that.

I don't know what's going on but here at WF, my iPhone is working fine over Verizon wireless.

I google long running script and it appears to be a computer issue not the website.

From what we have been told its a script problem with some browers.. try chrome or firefox as those seem to have less issues... no eta on fixing it with IE.

I will renew my memebrship when the site works again. I get the script error all the time and it makes the site not a lot of fun to be on.

never had the problem before this recent issue.

I think it's IE 10, that's the problem.

Send a message via MSN to HelenaAG
For those using IE 7-9, there have reports of script error in which we are escalating with Internet Explorer. Unfortunately we do not have an ETA for the fix so in the meantime you can try to access the site with another browser such as Chrome or FireFox.

I uninstalled IE10, went back to IE9, and that didn't help. I installed Google Chrome and it runs fine.

I'm no longer having the script/lag problems. There have been no changes on my part. Back to business as usual.
