2.5" teraflex BB with stock shock length??

I was planning on installing the teraflex 2.5" BB on my jeep tomorrow. I ordered the kit without shocks or extensions because I went with the synergy extensions instead. Well quadratec screwed up and shipped the lift (which will be here today) and the brackets (which will not be here today) separately. They decided to ship the brackets fedex smart post BS so who knows when they will show up. I guess that's enough rambling. My question is can I put the lift on with out longer length shocks or extensions? I did some searching and didn't come up with much so I apologize if the answer is out there. Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks
Brandon

Brandon,

I'm not sure of the extended length of the stock shocks, but you can install the BB and see how much additional length you have with the shocks bolted up. Chances are you're going to be stretching those factory shocks to their limit and you don't want to blow one out. Good Luck!

yes you can.

the shocks wont top out blowing them internally. if you hit enough big pot holes causing the shock to fully extend it may over time pop one.

if your just on the road till they get in i would install it.

fyi the stock shocks are only an 1.5in shorter than the shocks tera sells fully extended there is enough travel in the factory one to cover that and the longer shocks are more for better flex than because they dont have the room to run

Ryan you are 100% correct on that. I do not wanna damage anything that's for sure. I was going to pull the lower shock bolts out before I get started just to see how much room I have.

Yeah I'm just planning on going back and forth to work until they are on. I'm hoping only 2-3 days tops without the extensions. I think I may go for it. I guess worse case it would force me to grab some 5100s haha.

FYI for anyone in my situation. I have 1.75" travel in the front and 2.0" in the rear. It should be fine until next week when the mounts come in.
