2007 clicking?

OK, new Jeep owner here (< 3 weeks) My 2007 Jeep X is clicking like crazy...thinking it's the rear drive shaft CV joint (rzeppa?) but I'm not sure. It sounds like both ends of the rear driveshaft but I guess it could be the TC side of the front??

I also have the left front u-joint clunking a little. I jusr had to replace the rear rotors and pads. Just empty every pocket alright...anyway.

What are my options? Looking online it looks like rebuilding the stock joints will cost as much as a new replacement stock driveshaft, which looks like will cost as much as a new driveshaft with U-joints (give or take a few bucks)

Any grease splatter around the CV boots ?

Hoping it's not inside the diff. The driveshafts usually spit grease and dry up. Not just start making noises.

OK, due to my work schedule this week I took my Jeep to a buddy to look at. He is pretty knowledgable in Jeeps but mostly CJs, YJs and TJs. It turns out there was grease spatter at the EC end of the rear driveshaft. He removed thr driveshaft and said the bearings in the TC and rear end are toast. He doesn't have the tool to pull them so it is going to another guy tomorrow. Bummer.

Yes, it has a TeraFlex lift kit on it and 1" body spacers. I'm not sure what size lift since it was on there when I bought the Jeep from a small car lot. I can measure and compare it to my buddy's wife's stock '07? Is there another way to tell?


Mine is the black one on the far right next to a stock '07. I'm on 35s

Any source of rear pinion correction ie adjustable control arms, cam bolts/plates etc ?

I'm not sure...Jeep isn't here right now. It has a whole TeraFlex kit on it with arms and all so probably.

Take some pics if you can later. Some people will take the manufactures ca lengths and bolt them up. Different ride heights, 2/4 door, etc, not every jeep is going to have the same setup/Ca lengths.
