2009 JKU transmission hesitation when cold

Hey guys,
Im hoping someone can help. I bought a 2009 JKU (sahara) 2 years ago. I just broke 60k miles. I dont drive it too much as I have a work van. I recently started to notice that when I start it for the first time of the day and just throw it in drive it wont move for a few seconds. (usually takes about 5-10 seconds and seems like eternity)

Just dropped it at my mechanic so he could do ball joints and U joints and mentioned it and he said its typically the first sign of a tranny going. Is this true or is this a known jeep thing with a fix????

Also... Any advice on U joints and Ball joints???

Also... I plowed with it for the first time last year. I barely put it in 4 wheel drive because I stayed in the same lot all storm and just kept pushing 2 inches around..

Any help is insanely appreciated!!!

You might want to talk to the dealer or contact another dealer.

Have you checked the transmission fluid level? If you aren't low on fluid, and the fluid isn't "burned", then try a tranny fluid and filter change. If those don't help, then you probably have internal issues with the solenoid, torque converter or internal clutch.

Ok this is what I would do find out if your dealer has a warranty if you do a trans service I know my work has this with a transmission power flush. I would least do a trans flush with new filter. Some company's (dealers) have a power flush system and dealer I work for the company they use has a 24k or 2 year warranty on the transmission if trans service has been done there. It's worth a shot. Then wait a few weeks and say it slipping.
