2014 LED floor well stock unit

Here's a few pics of the stock floor well LED light unit from my 2014 Rubicon JKU. I am in the process of converting everything over to LEDs (green) kinda juvenile, but it looks cool and I like them. The dome lights and rear cargo light came from Superbrite LED's and worked great. My road block to a complete conversion is the map lights in the auto dimming rear view mirror and these floor well units. At first I thought about using a photography gel to wrap them, but the design has enough light leakage to wash out the green in the floor wells. I have ordered a roll of green LED's that can be cut into any length down to 3 lights. I'm going to make a small aluminum bracket and install it where this unit attaches. You'll notice the unit has two led's in different orientations one for open door illumination and one for key on illumination (this is the one so dim no one can see it unless they are in a black out situation) I'm going to attach the leads to the open door circuit and terminate the other or possibly use it to feed a circuit to the back seats for illumination in the rear floor boards. The mirror LED's I am going to find a way to plasti coat green or adhere the green gel to it, the big challenge here is finding an adhesive that can take the heat here in Texas without liquefying and letting the gels slide or fall off making a mess on the dash. I'll post some pics as I figure it all out.

Well, after some time off for the ROT rally in Austin, I have had a chance to work on this project. Did I the passenger side today and it looks great. The 3 light side is the switch on circuit, this is on any time the switch is on, again, most people don't even notice because it is so dim, that it is only barley visible in the darkest of situations. The 9 light strip is the "dome light" circuit, doors open, interior light switched on, etc... Now if it will quit raining in will install it up under the dash and pull the drivers side out and get it done. My next project will be the map lighs in the auto dim mirror, still working on some ideas for that, if anyone has a suggestion, I'm all ears.
