Hey guys thinking of adding 37s can I add 4:88 gears to my stock front Dana 30? I'm guessing add the 4:88 in the stock rear Dana 44 would be ok

I run 4.88 and 37's and really like the setup..

if i was going to be strictly a daily driver,, mall crawler.. i would run 4.56's

but for a good on road off road gear choice.. 4.88 is perfect in my book..

only thing is you may get some grief on here about running 37's on a stock un-trussed or beefed up 30 and 44..

may at least consider trusses if going to 37's

^^^Yes, you can go to 4.88. Just remember per the PIC above, the Dana 30 has a much smaller Ring&Pinion so that is your weak Link. So just go easy on the peddle!!!

With 37's, Heavy Duty grease-able Ball joints, C Gussets and a Truss are recommended!

You may want to read through Kjeeper10's build Thread. This will give you a idea how to beef up our components such as steering linkage and Track Bars. But he does have the Dana 44 front..FYI
