So I came across these the other day. They have DRL Daytime Runing Light as well. 6-6.5k color. Couldnt find any video just pics. Anyone give these a try?
Anyway someone posted about the Seward Offroad versions not too long ago and if I remember right all of the responses were along the lines of "too funky for me." I guess they're pretty new and nobody's used them yet
Yes these are the same as Seward. Atleast thats what I saw a NightSun rep say on their FB. Ill check out that link. I like the look and the drl, so "funky" is ok with me. More concerned with performance.
Edit: I check the link. I thought it was a review, but just took me to their website. I did see they sell them at 380 instead of 300
Well it looks like the Nightsun4x4 version is located in Ft.Lauderdale so Ill at least drive over and check them out. See if they have demo jeeps to check the fit as well.
I spoke to them today and was very impressed. His name is either Mark or Mike. He is wiring them for the jk using the h13 so it is plug and play. He said that most JK owners with the CAN-Bus system have not needed the anti-flicker harness and so they are not included. If needed they can be purchased for 30-40 bucks. I read the posts on Facebook regarding the light pattern and difference side by side comparison with the JW. The low beam pattern is not as contained as the JW but the amount is just as bright. For only $310.00 shipped from Florida to my home in Idaho it's a no brainer when compared to JW, Trucklite, Quadratec or any others. I am aware that these are not DOT approved at the moment but I can live with that. When I receive them I will do a right up and comparison with the OEMs.
Good to hear. Ill stop down to theri shop when I get a chance and check em out. Add your REVIEW link here when you make your review so we can find the Thread
I don't have a Facebook account either. "Facebook is the DEVIL". I just looked at the webpage for the product and there was a link to Facebook. Looked at the photos from there.
Saw a set of anti flicker harness for 30 or 40 bucks on amazon.
Those are so cool. My HID's are just so ridiculously bright that I feel bad for other driver's. The beam is so massive, it brightly reflects on the ceiling of my parking garage directly above the lights even. I have them adjusted further down than the 3' recommended 25' projection. I think I'm going to buy these.
I'm following for results. I messaged them and came away less confident based on their reply regarding the Can-Bus system.
"Some JK's won't need an anti-flicker harness"... Why some? We all have Can-Bus and LED's react instantly to voltage on/off, not like halogen which effectively remains lit until it cools off.
Looks great for TJ's, etc. There's pictures of JK's but all of the video's appear to be TJ's and CJ's.
Mark at NightSun4x4 is one cool KAT. Under promise and over deliver. I was expecting them the first week of February and they are already here. I do have one question that I emailed to Mark and it has to deal with one wire left out of the harness that he installed. I assume it's for the the top/bottom set of LED's so you can make them DRL's or turn signals but I want to make sure. The construction appears to be top notch and they are pretty heavy. The outer ring is held in place by screws that can be removed. I bet that you can put this in the oven and remove the lens so that you can get in there and tint the top/bottom LED's red or amber if you wanted true turn signals. I will not be doing this but I can transfer instructions if interested. Anyway, we have friends coming over tonight to play Cards Against Humanity and the wife made sure I was playing before she handed me the box. So I guess tomorrow will be the install.
Keep us updated please. Can't wait to see the photo's.
