80/100 Off Road Only Bulbs

Found some bulbs that will replace the DOT Spec bulbs in the headlights. Will this upgrade damage anything? Hope this isn't too dumb a question....

Usually no , but with you going to 80/100 is a lot more power then stock

So there might be an issue with over powering the stock setup

If I am not mistaken the stock lamps are 55 watt, so yes upgrading to 100 watt would pull twice the amps. I would highly doubt that Chrysler sized the wire going to your lamps large enough to support twice the amperage.

I went with Narva 90/100 watt lamps in my TJ. I had to upgrade my wiring harness, but the difference in light was well worth it.

I used the 80/100 watt bulbs and melted my wires and connectors!!
