99 Wrangler Overcharging

Last week I drove out of my driveway and the Check Gauges light came on. My Voltmeter was pegged. With the engine off the battery voltage was 14.1V and with it running it went up to 18.5V. I replaced the charger thinking that the internal voltage regulator was bad. The problem is still there. I tried another battery and still bad. I then realized that the voltage regulator is in the PCM. I have the wiring diagrams so I checked the wires between the alternator and PCM and they are all good - no opens or shorts. So it looks like the PCM is bad. Has anyone else come across this? Also, can anyone recommend a good place to get a re-built PCM? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

you might want to move this thread over to the "general jeep discussion" section or the
"TJ" section. JK's are 2007-2009 wranglers. if you asking about a 1999 then that is a TJ. if you move it to one of the aforementioned sections it may get a quicker response.

btw, welcome to the forum.
