I mounted my 17" bar using the winch mount holes, they are spaced at 10". If your lightbar is the sliding bottom post type, it will work. As long as you use a good carling switch and appropriate size wire, a 20" lightbar does not need a relay. Never hurts to have one though.

that switch is overpriced, and has half the amperage rating of a $9 carling switch that you can get a panel for and avoid drilling a permanent hole in your dash.

Nice Jeep! Thanks for the info. I do have the adjustable light bar, but the included hardware is junk. Do you think the switch will cause any issues? I was going to install it on the A-pillar. I really like the look of it. Thanks.

I have got around to mounting my 20" light yet, but I do have another question for you.

Are those your stock headlights, or do you have (GPS?) headlight covers?

Why are you buying that switch when the wiring harness you're buying comes with a switch. Also, just don't connect the ground (black) wire to the switch and it won't light up. Much less annoying.

Still wondering why you're buying a switch when the wire harness comes with one.

Just finished mine up today as well, used the 25" eyourlife LED one.

For my install I needed extra large washers to mount to the light post. Also had to use extra wire to reach my daytech switch pod...

Ok! I finally got to install my light bar! Took about 2 1/2 hrs with no wife/kid disturbances. So here it goes.

First I used waterproof quick disconnects for the light bar to wire harness. Just in case I want a bigger one.

Next I ran the wires to the firewall access. I Had to buy extra wire because the wire in the kit was too short.

I then pulled the A pillar cover off and drilled a 3/4" hole for the plasma switch. (Love it) installed the switch, and put the cover back on.

Wired it all up. Hopefully it is correct and no fires!

Taadaa!! It works!! Here's some pics. If you see anything wrong please let me know. Thanks for all the help and info!

Do what I did and save yourself some time and money buying individual relays and go with the bussman relay/fuse panel. I'm guessing you are going to be adding more stuff on and having one already installed makes it easy to hook stuff up in the future. First jeep and I'm currently in the process of putting on reverse lights, 2 sets of cube lights, a 20 inch light bar and a 50. The relay fuse panel does a good job of cleaning stuff up and keeping it sealed. If you don't plan on adding anything else then I would still install a single relay with a fuse. The wiring harness you have should have both.
