Air bag light

So.......needed a new battery on my 07 JK last week. Parts swapper at the shop took the old one out, installed the new one. BUT, he hooked the positive cable up first. (Now you understand the lack of the term "mechanic"). Ever since then, the airbag light has been on. I'm guessing the a$$backwards install caused a spike in the module. Is this a DIY reset?

The only thing I know of that can set the airbag light off, a defective clockspring. I received a extended warranty on the clockspring and own a 07.

I've got a full warranty as well for approx 35K more miles. I was hoping to get around it but........oh well, I can't get too upset. I bought it used. It was a 1 owner '07 with 50K on it. Picked it up for 8K and got a warranty with it.

Wow ... Nice!!!

The clockspring warranty is separate and I believe 100k. Expensive if had to pay out of pocket. Not saying this is your problem just wanted to note.

Disconnect the (+) terminal on the battery for an hour or so and that'll reset the computer as best as you can DIY. If that doesn't work it may be clock spring
