Air con running

Hi everyoneI have recently bought a 2007
Wrqngler unlimited
The aircon pump stops and starts always
I have made sure the aircon button is off
But pump keeps engaging all the time


Does anyone have any ideas why?

Is it on defrost? Or circulation? Cause it will cycle on and off as it is also a humidifier.

I meant de-humidifier. I'm not of your jeep or model but in some cars they are always cycling on and off and that I believe correct me if I'm wrong is too keep everything moving once in awhile so they don't seize up etc.

If your still unsure google it and or take it to a shop just to be safe that's not a compressor malfunction.

It could a faulty switch, sensor, relay, etc. If the a/c or defrost isn't on the compressor should be off. When it's supposed to be on it will cycle on and off. If you made sure that everything is off then there's a malfunction. The only other thing I can think of, which might not apply, is when an a/c system is low on refrigerant the compressor will fast cycle on/off.
