small spacer lift like that one you shouldn't have any issues. I've read that anything under 2" doesn't cause the problems that the bigger lifts do...like Axle centering or alignment problems. I was planning on going with the Teraflex kit when I pick mine up, mostly to prevent any warranty issues from emptying my wallet.
Are you planning on flexing the Jeep? With 2" up front you may max out the shock when drooping the suspension. You could always add in Shock Extenders to get the most flex without damaging your shocks. Let me know if you have any questions!
I don't have a problem per se, I have a noise that I cannot find. Upon starting forward movement I get a sound like something is binding, it's like a minor clicking. I have torqued and re-torqed everything involved in the install and installed geometry correction brackets but I still cannot locate the sound.
The PO of my JK put in pucks and shocks extension brackets on factory springs and shocks which yielded a 2.5" lift after front and rear bumper replacements. My opinion? They stink. I think geometry correction brackets will help but for me, im going to remove junk and add JKS 3.5" Konnect. No more bouncing all over the dirt roads and feeling every imperfection in the road.
Anyway....TLDR: You may need geometry brackets above 2" or 2.5" of lift. Or maybe new lower front CAs/upper rear CAs. I say this because this was some of the advice given me when i was asking about it.
I started my small lift with just front and rear spacers. Zero issues along the way and I started adding to it gradually until I just don’t run spacers anymore. You can check my built thread for details. I did 1.75 spacers in the front with .75 in the back with coil spring wedges. I still have those spacers if you want them. Ran them for a few weeks before I changed them for springs.
As long as the spacer lift you choose is complete and has all the proper parts it will be just fine.
TeraFlex for instance, offers a Performance spacer lift that has all the exact same lift parts that their 2.5” spring lift has.
JK's don't have front leaf springs. They have coils. Totally fine for coils. Totally dangerous for leafs.
