Axle Ratio Question

I do not see the 4.10 axle ratio available on any 08 Unlimited except the Rubicon. Is that true, even with the towing package?

If so, why would they do that? Does it make a measurable difference in fuel economy? (3.73 is what I see that is available). What about accelleration?

Are you looking at an Unlimited or 2dr? I think you can get them with the Unlimited, but I'd be sure to talk to a couple of different dealerships.

*EDIT* - I just went to Jeep.com to build a Wrangler, 2dr and Unlimited... the 4.10 ratio is available to all models Tow Package or not.

Jeep.com is still listing them as 07 models. I am looking to order an Unlimited X with the 4.10, if it is available.

I'm surprised at how much mystery there is about this. I called a Chrysler number to get answers and could not get a human being. The dealerships don't know squat, either. I'm hoping to be able to get an X with 4.10 axle ratio to make it easier to tow my boat, but also to get a better crawl ratio off road. I may just bite the bullet and get a Rubi.
