Bad heater core?

I have 2013 JKU with 14000 miles on it I purchased used about 2 months ago. Today I noticed the heater does not blow hot air. Additionally, there is water in the front passenger footwell area. Can anyone advise if something like this would/should be covered by the manufacturers warranty?

It is regardless of which defect(s) are causing the issues. My heat wasn't working correctly and it turned out to just be the thermostat. The water in the passenger foot well could be a leak unrelated to the heating issue.

Just a follow up on my JK. Took my JK to the dealer. Turns out the heater core was fine. There was a sticky actuator in the A/C vent system that was not opening when it should and was replaced. The water in the front passenger floorboard was coincidental. Apparently there is a hidden leak causing water to seep into that area. Dealership has a guy who comes in once a week and diagnoses the location of leaks and they will be looking at that issue tomorrow. Dealership also completed the tranny cooler recall and a software update as well.

Good for you. Good luck with the leak and don't let it affect your enjoyment of your Jeep.
