Barricade Trailforce HD Bumper and Winch advice

Anyone had any experience with this bumper?

Barricade Heavy Duty Rock Crawler Wrangler Front Bumper J20850 (07-14 Wrangler JK) - Free Shipping | Free Shipping

Price is good, has winch mount, bull bar, factoy fog light mounts, and D-rings. Everything I want in a bumper.

The reviews seem pretty decent too.

Also, I am pretty ignorant when it comes to winches, and since I wont be lifting my jeep until the warranty runs out (in 68k miles), I figure a winch is going to be a good thing to have to get me out of situations I may find myself in.

So my question is this:

Would the Quadratec Q9500 winch fit the Barricade bumper, and also would it be a sufficient enough winch for me to use once in a blue moon when I make get stuck, just to get myself unstuck (not to run for any extended period)?

Quadratec Exclusive 92122 2020 - Quadratec Q9500i Self Recovery Winch - Quadratec

Thanks in advance!

Yes.
There are a few threads on here about them with pics.
Barricade bumpers?
I have the one with the LED lights. The only problem with them is they sell out fast and you have to wait for them to restock. If you go through
XTRyan on the forum he will hook you up with a deal. There is also a coupon code for a free t shirt. freeshirt150xt. The rear with tire carrier is priced very well also and you can get a good deal ordering both.

I like this bumper as well, has everything I oils like to have. I agree with what was said in a previous post - it's always on back order. I PM'd XTRyan about it and he can give you a good price and order one for you, it just may take some time to get it.

As for the bumper, it looks like you have some reading provided by Gunmn74. That thread has a lot of good info and reviews on the bumpers. The version that uses the factory fog is out of stock for another few weeks. The LED version is going to be out of stock for several months. PM me for a deal!

As far as the winch goes, I don't have any experience with that one. Most will tell you that Warn is the best of the best and I won't disagree. Plus, when you need a winch you need to know it will work for you every time. Warn will do that for you. That being said, if you want something that is good but a little less expensive, people have had good things to say about the Engo Winches. Do some reading and I think you'll like what you find. Let me know if you have any questions at all!

What can you tell me about the Barricade winch (9500 with synthetic orange rope) It is on your page for 439.00 I think. Maker? spec? any good?

I am running the Trail Force bumper and the Q-Tec Q11000s and although I havent had the chance to use the winch (not sure if thats good or bad) I think it looks great together and am very happy with the combo.

Ryan,
I know this is an old thread but it's about the two items I want! Can you give me a quote on the Barricade J20850 Trail Force HD Front Bumper with the Barricade J100204 9500lb Winch and let me know of any discounts codes we can use? This looks like the perfect combo for me.

I'm new to Jeeps and starting to add on to my 2014 JKU slowly. The Barricade has the look I like and the price seems to be good too compared to many others. But above all that, your responsiveness to questions and help on the message forum tell me something about the company!

Thanks!

Mike

I just ordered one. I don't have 25 posts, so not qualified for the discount. Ordered it anyway.

Texasdoc, did you get the bumper AND the winch? If not, which one? I'm looking forward to it!

Yes it does, with a standard bolt pattern, and is rated for a 12,000# winch.

Thanks, Jedi!

Astylz,

The bumper will fit most any standard pattern size winch. It's not a sunken design so I think it will even fit the Zenon series that don't fit in some bumper and the powerplant as well, but someone will have to confirm that for me.

Let me know if you have any other questions at all!

Thanks, it's a Rigid 10" E2. I had to modify the bumper a bit to make it fit but that would probably be the case for most bumpers. I did a white up with pictures here. Page 19 post 566

Barricade bumpers?

I'm happy with the results.

That looks great! Thanks for doing the write-up on how to install the light bar. A lot of people have asked me about it and how I have a great spot to send them!

Hey guys new to jeeps and this forum, I just bought a 2015 jku and a barricade trail force front bumper. I was wondering if there were any skid plated that would work with this bumper. Thanks

I just installed a Hanson skid plate. Looks great. I had to notch two small places at the ends of the stock crossmember for clearance and drill a 1/2" hole in the bottom of the crossmember on the pass side for mounting. Directions explain well (except for the drilling of the one hole)

I got the Barricade Skid plate to work with this bumper on my 07. I don't think they are out to work with the 15's yet though.

I installed the Rugged Ridge skid. I had to drill one hole in the cross member and grind the lower frame supports - exactly as described in the instructions. Took me an hour total. If you don't have a cut-off wheel, it will definitely take longer.

You're correct. Barricade doesn't have a skid plate that works on the 10+ JKs just yet. I know they're working on it and hopefully it'll be out soon! I'll keep you guys posted on the process.

The bumper is about as easy as can be to install along with the winch. It is very well made and worth the $$ for sure. My experience was packaging left a little to be desired and they came pretty beat up, Ryan had them swapped out as fast as possible and saved the day.

By the way, the skid plate WILL NOT work on a 2015 JK!

I had this bumper on my 2011 that I just got rid of and really liked it. I am already looking to get the same thing for my 2015. I did have a problem with an area of the paint coming off. Fortunately it was limited to one of the small areas and I was able to repaint a section so it looked fine. Even with that, I plan on getting another of these and may consider one of their rear bumpers too.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you liked the bumper you had. Let me know if you'd like a price on the front and/or rear and I'll get you hooked up with a great price!

So someone backed into my Trail Force bumper at church Wednesday night. Brand new 250. He said when it hit it hit solid. All it did to the Barricade was knock a little bedliner off it. Took me 5 min to touch up. It would've crushed a factory bumper.
