Have one on driver side... Looking to get a passenger side one. Would like both to be used with same key. Would a lock smith be able to code both cylinders? Or wonder if Bestop could...
I have one under each seat in my JK. I tried to get them keyed alike when I bought them with no luck. I called Bestop, gave them the key number of one of the drawers and they were able to ship me a matching lock for the second drawer for about $8 if i recall correctly. I posted my old lock on a local Jeep forum and found it a good home. If you like the funky key that came with it, call Bestop and they will help you out.
I changed my original key-lock for a combo style ordered from Tuffie. Rather complex and more time to change over than anticipated, but did give considerable sense of accomplishment.
Thanks guys!
I'll give home Depot a try and if no luck.. I'll call bestop
Guess at home depot, just need to find packages that have matching codes, so both locks will work with same key
