Bigs Rocks + Stock Parts = You know the rest...

Went wheeling a few weekends ago. Finally replaced the damaged parts. The stock skid plate for the evap canister is useless. Instead of protecting it, it ripped it wide open when the skid plate bent. The rear lower control arm wasn't too bad, but at least that is an inexpensive part to replace. Lesson learned - a new evap canister cost way more than an aftermarket skid plate that will actually protect it. Replace that piece of junk ASAP!

I am going with Poison Spyer. Decent price and they make quality parts.

JeePerformanceInc. relocated mine above the rear axle. No skids needed and it flexes fine on a 3.5 Rock Krawler set up They are up top in the sponsor section.

It looks like you are running with no lift and the stock tires. If so, you may want beef up tires before you do any heavy rock climbing. The stock skid plates are good for brush and flying gravel/debris but they are no designed for heavy contact with rocks or other fixed obstacles.
