Service guys have no idea? I'd find another dealer.
Is it always flashing, or only for a short period of time. I think it flashes for a short periof if you press the button while in 2WD. It will only stay lit if in 4WD and you stay below a certain speed.
Sometimes it gets sorta in limbo, have you tried like rocking the Jeep, tapping on the swaybar to gently persuade it? Maybe a fuse? Maybe try disconnecting the battery and see if it clears? I suppose it could also be a bad sensor too?
Electronic swaybars are known to fry and cause this behavior. The module is not protected from water (beside the airdam) its completely exposed. Google jk rubicon seay bar flashing or short and you will see this explained many times. Also if you turn on the jeep and the light goes off randomly without you pressing the button then i would think its shorted, if you are in 4hi and it stays steady then attempt to turn it off by pressing the button rock the jeep to ensure its properly locked.
I have done all mentioned. I did go thru some deeper water but I am sure it was not worse then a car wash. Stays blinking all the time. My jeep has 300 miles on it. First time I took it off road and used the sway bar release.
In my experience
Hit the button once, it starts flashing until it's disco.
Then it stays solid until you get near 18mph which it will start flashing as it will auto reconnect above that speed if prolonged
It will also flash when you try to reconnect and the go off when it's done.
Rolling forward, swaying a bit can help and maybe have wheels straight too
If it's just constantly flashing - that sounds like some issue and you should be careful driving if it's stuck disconnected.
If the dealer has no clue, tell them to call for more support or just swap it
Mine did the same thing, started the Jeep one day (like a week after being in the water) & the swaybar light was just flashing away & wouldn't stop. Brought it in & they said it was flooded, they tried to clean it out but it didn't work so they replaced it under warranty. Thankfully under warranty cuz they are big $$. If they didn't replace it I was gonna convert it with the JKS kit.
I've had friends take them apart & clean them & they work again. I've also heard of them getting wet from a good rain storm. Stupid design, they are not sealed well enough.
Bring it back to the dealer & tell them they need to fix it or replace it. They can call Chrysler if they don't know how - but it's kinda their job. LOL
Its bkinking cause its a POS. It is going out. They all do eventually. Mopar has done another stellar job with a bunk piece they will not do a recall on. What is happening is the electronic module called the smart bar, (go figure) is flooded with water. The stealership are filled with morons and they wont do anything but tell you its bad and you need to spend a couple grand for a new one. I took mine apart and a ton of black water and grease came pouring in my face. the dirty water will eventually foul the electronics and kill the thing. The rocking and tapping will possibly get it to reconnect but it will keep doing it until one day you are driving a camper because the sway bar will not reconnect. I would take off the end where the plug goes in there are three bolts. remove them and watch out for the waterfall. then clean it out let it dry and spray some wd 40 on the electronics to repel water. put it together and it will work again. Not for long but it will work. Now some mall crawlers don't have the issue as much but if you forde water and wheel you will surely encounter this nightmare. My advise is get a standard sway bar and ditch the POS forever. poor articulation anyway and its just going to keep happening . Mopar you should be ashamed to produce such a crappy design that fails on almost every jeep yet not take responsibility. LIke i care about my side view mirror and the heating element recall!!! Recall the damn sway bar!!!
My sway bar light started blinking last week, 34K miles and after two days at the dealer they still haven't gotten it fixed. Think I'm going to find a junk yard sway bar and install some Teraflex quick discos.
Mine did that after running a few trails in Moab. Could not stop the thing from blinking. Since there were no dealers in Moab, just went to bed. Next morning fired it up, rolled about 10 feet and it went out. Has been working fine since that day. Crazy electronics!!
