Budget boosts??

Are budget lifts worth the money? I've been researching lifts for when i do mine and find myself more and more confused. I am also not confident in just adding spacers to springs. It makes sense to put in the right length parts. I am considering a 2.5" lift with 1.5" spacers running my stock 17" wheels for which later on i would like 33" tires so i don't have to re-gear my 3.73s. Or worry about any drive shaft angles or track bar problems. Any suggestions?

We just covered this on another thread, the budget boost of choice at 2.5 is the RC series II and add the AEV brackets for caster correction. 2.5in Series II Suspension Lift Kit for 07-15 Jeep JK Wrangler | Rough Country Suspension Systems® AEV Conversions NTH20410AD - AEV Geometry Correction Front Control Arm Brackets for 07-15 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec Less than $300 and good to go. Ready to add upgraded shocks when you are.
Thank you very much for the information, looks like its an easy install

Nothing wrong with either of them, and I'm a TF fan... They are spacer lifts, no springs to sag and nothing to fail, etc. They both have frame side track bar brackets, sway bar links, brake line brackets and fr and rr bump stops. But the RC is $160 less when you include the shock adapters.

How about the Rancho 2" Sport Lift? It can be ordered with RS9000XL shocks, comes with front coil springs and rear coil spacers. I ordered it for $388 with free shipping and there is a $56 rebate from Rancho right now. So you get a 2" lift with new quality shocks & front coils for less than you would normally pay for just the shocks.

Rod you got that installed yet?

Seriously thinking the 3/4 rear spacer is getting changed out to 1 3/4"

Not Installed Yet

It just arrived today, so no I don't have it installed yet. I was thinking of getting a set of 1.5" or 1.75" spacers to have on hand when I do the install. I would do the front first and then decide which spacers to use. Since the 2 door kit comes with the 1.75" spacer, I shouldn't need anything else if I went with 1.75 or less, right?

Considering you have aftermarket bumpers and winches I wouldn't recommend a BB. The stock springs are not really designed for that weight. Most lifts realize you will be adding the extra's weight and compensate!

I have a Rough Country Budget Boost type lift consisting of 2.5" metal spacers in front and 1.75" in rear. Mine came with shock extenders and I added Rubicon Red shocks with the change. I have to say I have been VERY pleased with the lift. Rides great, no rattling or creaking, no sag or issues like that (yes I kept factory 18/59 springs) and it still handles and flexs great. I would definatly reccomend if you are looking for a spacer lift. And the best part is it leveled out my JKU perfectly with the lift!!
