Bumber Hooks

Are the hooks on the stock bumper mounted to the chassis/frame? Or just part if the bumper? Can they be used as recovery points to be pulled out by a winch or will we it rip off the bumper?

They are recovery points - that is why they are there.

They are solidly bolted to the frame - the point where they mount (4 bolts on each) is the main point of actual support/mount for most recovery bumpers. My only objection to them is that they are a hook not a D-ring, which means that if you have slack or bounce in your recovery strap, the strap can come off in the middle of a recovery.
