This question may stir some debate...

Anyone running a catch can on their 3.6 motor?

How much oil do you get when you drain it?
I'd probably add the same at some point just to keep the oil out of the intake track.
We've got regular old multiport fuel injection so probably less chance of the back end of the valve coking up due to the cleaning properties of the fuel. Could be wrong if others seem to be having trouble with buildup.

Direct injection engines have a greater need for catch cans with all this EGR and PCV emissions stuff.

A lot of guys in the 7.3PSD world install these, and many remove them because they aren't worth the trouble. That's a motor twice as large as the 3.6, running higher compression ratios, and with 4 gallons of oil in the crankcase. This seems like something one would do to a 3.6 gasser because they have too much time on their hands, rather than because it accomplishes much. But, to each their own.

I had a Billet Technology catch can on my 2014 Hemi Ram truck. I an considering the same upgrade for my 3.6 Jeep. I know on the pick up the can caught about 8 oz of oil after every 8000 miles. That;s oil that didn;t carbon the intake valves and combustion chamber. It works.

I wonder if this could also not be related to have my Jeep stumble a few times out wheeling on steep hills. Fuel injection should never have this problem but if the PVC system dump a bunch of oil in it could do it. I have had my intake off once and it did have oil inside it.

Never played in Walker Valley. I prefer going over to Manastash Ridge area. I just can't stand the mud.
