Cb + single din head unit replacing stock radio

Saw a write up of this for an 09 but nothing for a 12

They used the cobra 18 wx st II cb radio. Mainly because it's single din size and has a front mount speaker. (Also reasonably priced)

I have a JVC KD-R810 head unit laying around.

My goal is to mount the cb and JVC using a double din adapter where the stock headunit is.

I have the sport model without the electronics package. So I have the basic radio. That's the 130 right? And it's an integrated amp so I don't have to go looking for an external amp?
Also is there anywhere to find a wiring adapter from the Chrysler radio to jvc? Just so I don't have to destroy the stock plug. If not I'll just bust out the crimpers.

I'm looking to get this finished in the next day or two.
If there's interest I'll take pics and write up the install.

Update.
Stopped by the local car electronics store, grabbed a wiring harness for Chrysler 07 and up
Also ordered a double din dash kit for a 2012 wrangler off amazon. Expected delivery feb 3rd-6th.
Hopefully I haven't lost the jvc part of the harness or I'll have to order that as well

The CB is great. My only complaint is that it won't operate without a microphone plugged in which ends up being a hassle when you just want to pop it on to listen to the weather radio or to listen in on channel 19 for a traffic report.

It doesn't have a PA function but it does allow for an aux speaker. But the onboard speaker is more than adequate.

Gigglz if you PM me your email address I can send you the step by step dash removal instructions I got from crutchfield when I ordered my head unit and speakers. If you end up wanting a newer head unit or speakers I recommend ordering from them as they include the instructions and vehicle specific harness for free.

Just finished up the install... Really easy and straight forward. Only 2 things to really note.
1. I need to order an antenna adaptor, it didn't plug into my headunit
2. The double din adapter I ordered is a piece of crap. On Amazon it listed 2012 as a year that it fits. All the way through 14. On the packaging it stopped at 2010. It's a close fit but isn't perfect.

Other than that I'm very happy with the install and it couldn't have been easier. I was able to find a matching factory harness so the only factory wire I had to cut into is the cigarette (+) for 12v accessory.

I had to do a bit of trimming to get it to fit. Pre trimming image.

I don't think I ever posted a follow up in my thread about the antenna adapter. I bought one that was supposed to be for my Jeep but it didn't quite fit. The tabs on the adapter didn't match the plug on the factory harness. I tried a couple but they were all the same. Since it's just a coax connection, it really doesn't need to be keyed and plugged in any particular way. So I just took out my knife and shaved the tabs down and plugged it in. It's been working fine for over a year now.
