Hi everybody. Is it save to wipe the inside of a 2007 X air filter box? Or am i going to destroy any sensors? Just bought this car and when it looks like the air filter wasn't changed in a long time. I think there is way too much dust to get rid of it with just spray.

You can remove the filter box and clean it. The only sensor in the general area is the air temperature sensor in the intake hose which is far enough from the filter box. You'll see it attached to the hose. Disconnect the intake hose at the box and you'll be fine.

Take it out and spray it with 4 09 or your favorite cleaner, then rinse with hose. Set it in the sun, it will dry fast cuz its black. Take a white paper towel and wipe the inside of the throttle body so you can see how much dirt is getting by your filter.
