Ok, so usually pretty good at these, but stumped. I get this loud high pitch sound between 15 and 30mph that gets worse as the jeep gets warmer. It resembles a speaker feedback noise to me, but definitely seems mechanical. I posted a video on YouTube. If anyone has a clue, would love to hear it. Thanks!
2014 unlimited. It does have lightbars, but it is not related (at least almost positive). First thing i tested haha. I pulled the power and fuses related to lights, winch, and the radio to eliminate those. Definitely mechanical. I do have 35 inch tires and a larger trackbar. Those have been on for a long time though and the noise just started a couple weeks ago. If I were to take a stab, I would say it is in the wheels somewhere since it is isolated between 15 to 30mph range and gets louder as it gets warmer, but not totally sure. Was hoping someone else experienced this.
I have had Serpentine idler/pulleys start to make high pitch sounds and get louder as time went on, they whine for some time before they break but I have had a lot of miles on them before they started, just a thought.
Checked the belts and top just in case. Hard to tell from the video I think but it is an incredibly loud sound at too low of speeds to be a wind sound. Think of what your ears do after an explosion in a movie lol. I will try your other suggestions. Similar to where i was going to start, but was hoping to wind it down a little haha. Any other thoughts would be appreciated.
