defroster problems

I have a 2007 wrangler unlimited and am severely disappointed with the how it cannot keep the windshield or side windows clear. We hit -15C earlier this winter and the side windows are are frosted up and the bottom left corner of the windshield is frosted up as well. Today we hit -45C and the side windows were frozen solid and about 1/3 of my windshield - drivers side was frozen up and this was after it was running for about 1 hour. The dealership says the defroster is working as it is designed!!! Any comments, suggestions?

you may want to change the concentration of radiator fluid to make your rig run hotter.. or try to partially block the radiator itself.

I'm sorry, I have not been in that type of environment, so my experience is severely limited.

The major reason why I'm quite upset is because my previous jeeps did cut it. I've owned a 98 renegade and a 2002 wrangler -- cold was never an issue with them. That is basically the reason why I did not even think twice about heat when buying this jeep. Thanks for your input.

I agree with you on the poor performance of the defroster. Have an 07 Unlimited and my 05 TJ kept the entire windshield clear. I keep the side windows clear by aiming the vents directly at them, but this takes away from the air flow to the windshield. What is needed are plastic covers over the left and right corners of the defroster outlet to aim hot air at both bottom corners of the windshield.
