Deleting Spare Tire?

I have removed my spare tire to use it as a test run for Plasti Dipping my wheels. Now that it's off it's staying off. How do I delete my spare tire carrier? How do I disconnect third brake light? What holes will I have to plug? How do I remove the black rubbers that support the tire?

The wire has a connector in the tailgate. The carrier is attached to the tailgate with bolts. The tire stops are rubber plug into a hole in the tailgate. You plug whatever holes you want to. Leave the vent in the tailgate.

the rubber stoppers you can just pull and they will come out. After removing the bolts that hold the tire carrier on I took the carrier off and put the bolts back in. I am planning in relocating my 3rd brake light so I just closed the wire in the tailgate for now

I went with a JCR tramp stamp, wired some led strips into the line from the brake light wire and relocated them inside the vent. Turned out great.

How do I plug the holes from the wire, and the two rubber stops?

Does NY have state inspections? CHMSL is a federal requirement and probably a failure item if removed.

Hope you dont get rearended without a third brakelight.
Also why do you WANT to get rid of the spare?
I was wheeling in a swamp when the guy I was with's YJ got a flat tire.
We were glad he had a spare....
