Hey guys. It seems there's crap caught on the rear of the engine block. I realize this is a problem. How did this happen? Any tips, concerns you guys have, please let me know. Or, if you'd rather scold me for the stupid thing I did with my JK, go ahead :surrender:
Insurance is denying the claim. I figured they would
The last pic says they think the cause is from lack of maintenance. How often did you change the oil and how long had it been since your last oil change? Do you have receipts showing proper maintenance schedules were being followed?
Yes sir! I've got all the receipts from all the service I've done. I might have lost one or two, but I've got them. I changed the oil every time the sticker they paste on my windshield says so. Since my last oil change, it's been about 6 weeks ago. I've been about 3 weeks without my Jeep. I figure I can argue that claim and say, "Look, I've got the service receipts here!"
I have seen the receipt from 2 different hydrolocks and subsequent insurance replacement of the motor (same guy lol) one was a 3.8 and the other was a 3.6. I forget how much the 3.8 cost, but the 3.6 was a few pennies shy of $10,000.

Insurance denied the claim due to it not being an 'accident' rather a defect/malfunction. Now, I'm going to try to see if the warranty will cover it. Good thing is the warranty replaced several components before this. It has helped me.
Usaa seems to be pretty forgiving when it comes to self inflicted wounds. I had a coworker driving his brand new f 150 through a stream crossing that clearly should not have been forded. Ie up to his chest deep. They paid for his engine and other minor stuff. The OP may be ok on that side of the table.
I've heard good things about USAA. I'm going to look into them. Unfortunately, I have farmers insurance
