Door won't open

So I just got my 2007 Wrangler Unlimited X last week. It's my dream car and I'm super pumped. It's been fun but as of now I have two questions.

The first is how do you get the rear wiper to work?

The second is my rear passenger side door won't open from the inside. Any idea how to unlock this? Is this a child safety lock or what?

I have a 2007 JKU and mine dose not have child safety locks. I bet some cable is broken somewhere inside the door.

Even if it opens from the outside still? What could have caused this problem?

Good point. Maybe the piece on the inside handle that attaches to the cable??

Check the other side for the child lock. I have them on my '07.

My rear wiper stopped working the other day. I just pushed the plug (back left hand side) together good and hard and it works fine.

On the rear wiper, check and make sure the connector is plugged in. It is on the driver side back corner.

Good news, I got the door to open. On the inside there is a switch that requires a flat head (I just used my keys) to turn off the child lock.

The problem with the wiper isn't the wiper not working haha I can't even tell where the button is to have it start working. (I'm a newb)

I noticed that on the back left hand side there is an empty plug where nothing is plugged in. Is there supposed to be something plugged into this?

Another question is, is the jeep supposed to come with a jack in the back storage? I bought mine used and there isn't one in that compartment. Does anyone know a good place to buy a replacement? I'll need to get one that takes off the lock nuts.

And the rear driver side door opens up from the inside so I feel like it isn't the child lock

I noticed that there isn't even a rear defrost option for my car. The back window does have the wiring on the window for a defrost, but there isn't a button for it up in the front. Does this mean that the rear wiper and defrost was never installed since there isn't even a wiring harness and hose to connect to the back?

Yeah I've seen where they are supposed to go, but they just aren't in my wrangler.

Look on the wiper stalk. There is the knob for the front wiper. There should be an inner ring for the rear wiper. If it is not there, the Jeep came with a soft top originally.

Same for the wiring harness and the defrost switch. None of those came with a soft top model.

If your Jeep is equipped...
The push-button is located on
the bottom right side of the
blower control knob.

You might want to download the manual here...
