With fixed length arms, and no other parts, the only thing that can be adjusted is toe.

So coming back to this... to lower my caster, would I want to shorten or lengthen my my lower control arms?

Humm... I was looking at the Synergy CAs, but they say they only go out to 24". I'm already at 24" on my fixed ones. I'm having a hard time finding the length range listed for a lot of the CA out there.

You want to shorten your front lowers to reduce caster or lengthen your front uppers. The opposite for adding more caster

24 is way to much .. How do you not have bowing issues ?
Common lower setting is 231/8 to 231/4 tops.
Then uppers set pinion/caster.

I don't know. lol That's roughly what I measured and post a couple of days ago. I've not noticed a part number on the LCAs I have, but I've not really searched for one. Synergey's ALCAs go out to 24" as well.

Measured them on the jeep, bolt to bolt was right at 24". But why would that matter if I mesured them on or off?

Off the jeep allows a more accurate measurement. To me, your uppers look stock...but there's not much in the picture. I kinda what to say, get adj. uppers, but the length on your lowers makes me question that. For your lift your lowers are an 1" longer than they should be.

I have never been able to get a accurate reading on the jeep.
A guy yesterday PM'd me with some caster questions. Same deal .. He measured 23 something on the jeep but light on caster. He was barely over stock length measuring off the jeep.

Eye to eye or center of bushings.

Before I go pull one of the arms off to measure it, is there anything I need to do to ensure I don't mess up my current alignment? I'm thinking I can just lift the front of the Jeep by the axle, remove the tire and then the arm and put it back together when I'm done.

Grab a tire chuck and chuck the side you're working on. Drop one arm at a time. You don't have to raise the jeep. To line up the holes have a person or use the chuck to push the tire in and hold it.
The axle will want to fall forward/rotate down a bit. The chuck helps hold it from doing so,

I pulled the drive's side off and it measures 23 1/8 from bushing hole center to center.

But I've still got a bit to much caster... so they need to be shortened still... or the uppers need to be replaced with adjustable ones and then adjusted how?

Your lowers are fixed at a good length, uppers adjusted slightly longer then stock will raise the pinion.

Stock uppers measure 183/4

I do have stock uppers... so I'll need either adj uppers or lowers. Which would be better for me?

Since you already have lowers set to most manufactures specs (23 1/8). Def get some uppers

I maybe wrong but the whole reason experienced JK suspension builders tell you to get adj front LCA'S and adj rear upper CA'S is to adjust for caster & pinion in front ,and pinion angle in rear. When lifting a JK. If you shorten front LCA's ( leaving uppers stock ) arent you rotating the axle back ( towards front of jeep ) which in turn is increasing castor and some piñon ? IDK ? What is your castor right now ? Thinking if you lengthen front LCA's you are rotating axle forward and down to decrease castor and some pinion. Maybe Iam just crazy and don't get it..

Shortening lowers "alone" would decrease not increase caster. You have to look at lift height. He as 4" iirc. He doesn't want to be running too high of caster. (Reason why this thread was posted) His lowers are fixed and he trying for more pinion (less caster to save the DS)
Since he already has lowers --they are fixed--but at a good length to center the axle in the well. Uppers are needed which typically take on pinion/caster with "both" sets of arms.
